Hello, I’m Caroline. I’m with my husband, Nick. We’ve been with J Edward Sellars for 18 years, and our adviser is Joe.

We initially got in touch with J Edward Sellars when our existing financial adviser retired, and he recommended Joe as a great adviser.

Caroline

Being self-employed and running a business, we needed somebody on our side to give us advice. We had quite a lot to think about. We had staff, a business, and clients to think about, so we needed peace of mind that somebody was looking after our future. That was important to us.

I feel confident that we’re going to be fine. As you approach the end of your working life, you worry about whether you’ll have enough money to pay for everything. Joe’s advice has made such a difference and given us that confidence in the future.

Caroline

Working with Joe has been reassuring for me because we have had some tricky times with the business and health issues, and money is one of the key things that plays on your mind during those times. So, to have someone like Joe, and not having to manage that yourself, per se, is really reassuring.

Nick

Jo helped us in our transition to retirement by giving us the confidence to believe we can do it. When you work for yourself, you think you’ve got to work all hours, so one of the biggest parts of getting towards retirement is understanding that you can do less. With Joe’s support, we have made those plans to do less and concentrate on the things that are really important to us in our retirement, like being with our granddaughter, planning holidays and taking up hobbies like going to the gym and an art class. So it’s made our retirement possible.
